Privacy Policy

General, and the Globely News app for iOS and Android, are committed to protecting your privacy when you use these products. This Privacy Policy explains what type of information we collect, how we use it, and how we safeguard it. By visiting our site, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to change this policy.

Information We Collect

At this time, we collect no information from users of our mobile applications unless a user opts in to receive notifications for a particular language. If a user opts in to receive notifications, we record the device ID, which is used solely for the delivery of notifications and nothing else. We are not able to associate your device ID with your name, contact information, payment information, or any other personally identifiable information. Additionally, we do *not* collect your name, contact information, or any payment details on any of our services. All payments or subscriptions to our products and services are handled exclusively through the App Store or Play Store, by Apple and Google respectively. However, if you contact us to ask a question or provide feedback, we may record the contact information you have provided and the content of your communication so that we may respond.

Legal Requests for Information

We may disclose information related to our users if we believe, in good faith, that disclosure is necessary to (i) comply with the law; (ii) address suspected illegal activity; (c) enforce our Terms of Use, this Privacy Policy, or any other applicable guidelines or agreements related to our products and services; or (d) protect our rights, reputation and property, or that of our users.

How We Protect Your Information

We take commercially reasonable precautions to protect the security of our users' data, primarily by collecting as little as possible. Nonetheless, it is up to individual users to protect against unauthorized access to their devices, applications, and accounts.
